PROSE AND POETRY

Better Off

tearing down
every inch of doubt
with the haze of a maze
that seems unending
but when the night
began to collide
with the day
she’s starting
to build
the walls
that makes her
sound asleep
in her own safekeeping

Pen and Paper

She sat across the scenery of the golden sunset.

Her hair in blonde reflecting the tangerine light of the day with its farewell. With her was her drafts of poetry, telling about fairies and dragons and castles with no kings and queens. With her was her pens in half empty and half full, carefully kept as her weapon in a battle that knows no words to be spoken. With her was her blank sheets of papers that are willing to cuddle the ink she’ll spill, the stains of her feelings,  ready to catch even the drops of her tears and who’ll never get mad when crumpled or thrown. With her was her heart that is so generous to be placed on every piece that she’ll write, in every line that speaks about a life once lived, verses about people and her journey of places with her footprints.

Till the dark hours came and she still sat there.

She sat across the panorama of  silver shimmering stars.

You see?  She’ll never  sit there  alone as she was.

Timid

Her head bent down
As he passed by
She took a sigh
And secretly smiled

He glanced at her
As she looked down
How he wished
She would smile

The thoughts of him
Sends her shiver
When she shouldn’t
It  flutters
It lingers

 Unrequited love
sometimes
is a step away
from letting
two pairs
of eyes
do the talking.

Fallacy

I fell in love
with rules, laws
and conditions

With if and only if
With must and should

With in case and supposed to be
With necessities and obligations

Guess?

She lays in bed for hours when she’s supposed to be somewhere in this world striving hard for survival.

Cuddled with her pillow, tucked in through her blanket, hugging her teddy bear, there could be no more right feeling than to procrastinate alone.

Peeking, and staring, blankly at the ceiling – wanting something to fill in the void.

With her bare foot she danced towards her window , splitting the curtains in two, counting the cup of coffee emptied in the corner.

Breath-taking trapeze acts
mind-boggling

Sizzling acrobats on show

Westlife For Life!

Who would forget  Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden ( who departed from the group last March 2004) of the Irish-boy Band Westlife?  Hey, I’m starting to croon over their 90’s songs. 😀 Continue reading
