There are a lot of movies and songs about time travel — looking back the past and seeing what it does with the present moment. Upon travelling the last time, with the rain pouring down and the music playing in the background from RNB to the Classic ones, I was in a trance of seeing the world backwards. Would there be a lot of changes if I smiled to the stranger that I met one sunny day? Could it alter my whole life if I chose another course? Would it be a lot better if I stayed quiet and should’ve kept my thoughts?
Years ago, every time the calendar jumps at the eight month, a hint of excitement is expected to bounce off the walls. It’s a childlike trait that I wholeheartedly welcomed because I am happy of doing so. But as I stepped into being an adult and realized that birthdays are not always the kind of day that we fancy with, I became casual at celebrating it and stick to making it as a simple day. That cakes and balloons doesn’t necessarily matter, that as long as my loved ones are within my reach, healthy and still having a whale of a time — it is more than an enough reason to thank God for adding up a year in my life with them.
Things in life may happen as a bolt out of the blue — unexpected events that may crash your daily routine, turn your mind set caught unawares, or simply cause you to struck dumb. Good news is, not all twists and turns are for you to be just frighten and shaken in sudden without any reason, for sometimes, things happen in surprise as a blessing in disguise. *quick sigh*
It’s been awhile since I posted something here. Yes life is not always that sunny neither the skies will always have a starry night. I may reside in a tropical country where spring, winter and autumn do not exist, yet we are bound to feel these seasons throughout our lives and the challenge to get through with each phase and making the most out of it is somehow irrefutable.
January 17,Sunday- it was the First Special Gathering of the Church Officers for this year and after that was also the First Monthly Meeting of the Youth in our Locale. I consider it as a productive day for it was spent learning significant things both in spiritual and secular matters.
Our topic was about TIME MANAGEMENT which was discussed by a simultaneous active Church officer, Company Manager, husband and a father of three.
So here’s the summary of the summarized colloquium (as he pointed out to us how he managed to compress this supposed to be a three-day seminar topic):
“There is always a first time in everything.”
An hour after dusk on the last day of the third week of July was my first ever air travel schedule. I was with five companions (three males and two females excluding me) but the four of them has an earlier booked flight. Continue reading
Weird. I must be snoring early on that morning. Well, I am not really a morning person. Grins I usually write at night , tweak over my pen and paper and enjoy being nocturnal. But I found this cliché on my drafts last month (and the time noted there was 5:0oAM?). Maybe because I was doing the opposite of what was first in the list: 🙂 Continue reading
